Our Origins
The Undying Peace
We didn’t ask for it. We’d worked for centuries to avoid it. But when they finally came for us, what options did we have? The Great War went on for so long, and took so many of us, that by the end it didn’t really matter to those of us that were left how it actually started. We were all just so grateful it was over.
A New Institution
Zombie State University was founded on the belief that those of us who remain today have an obligation to those we lost in The Great War to make the best of ourselves. We hope that our Academic community can become a symbol of post-war life for all Zombie-kind. A beacon for everyone who works to uphold and protect The Undying Peace.
Our mission here at ZSU is to shape the Zombie leaders of tomorrow. To mold them into the best and brightest of us so that they might go out into the world and rebuild what was destroyed. That they might create a better future where we won’t ever see again the atrocities we endured during The Great War.
Our incoming freshman class represents the first wave of this new future, but many more will follow it. And over the generations, as each class of talented young brain-eaters arrives and explores, declares a major, fulfills their course credits, and ultimately meets their potential, we will honor those we lost by our investments in those who’re still remains.
Welcome, new students of Zombie State University. Thank you for putting your trust in us as we work so hard to ensure you’re equipped to go out into the world and achieve what those before you worked so hard to protect.
Best of luck this semester,

Dr. Seymore Jacobson Hyde, PhD Professor of History - Dean of Students
Did you know?Dr. Hyde, the current dean of students at ZSU, served in the 123rd Infantry during The Great War. He once broke 2,407 bones in a single 1-day battle. None of them were his.
Meet the Faculty
no9
Dept Chair - Economics
Prior to her successful attack on Fiddler Green, no9 mostly roamed the deserted towns of Western Pennsylvania. With so much quiet time, she pondered the dumb human theories of Economics and how to reimagine cooperative commerce for a more peaceful future.
Since the Great War ended, no9 has studied with many of the leading DAOs and applies those learnings to ZSU's tokenomics roadmap.
Josh Stifter
Dept Chair - Art
Josh Stifter was bitten by the art bug at a young age. Later in life, he was bit by a zombie named Art while filming his last movie, the unreleased The Truth About Cats and Dogs 2: Revenge of the Dogs. However, Josh's zombification didn't change his love for drawing or making movies.
After The Great War, Josh was given the position of Head of Modern Art in the New Era and began teaching courses on new media at Zombie State.
Sheila Hammonds First Meal
Dept Chair - Engineering
Sheila Hammonds First Meal was an early soldier in The Great War. His contributions included eating Gary—which, to be honest—was probably a critical turning point in the war. Before his service, he studied human writing and learned what not to do.
He once taught himself to code while looking over the shoulder of a human terminal monkey. Then, he ate that human. Now, he chairs the Department of Engineering at Zombie State where he hopes to shape the future of Zombie-Computer relations.
The Crypto Keeper
Dept Chair - Design
Little is known about "CK" prior to his service in the war, where he made a name for himself applying human psychology and behavioral sciences toward developing the first Zombie institute for covert and assymetrical war tactics. While controversial, the institute's methods were directly tied to seminal victories that turned the tide of the war.
In his post-war life, CK uses behavioral sciences to help zombies create things that improve the lives of others.
